Patrice founded Visio Capital in June 2003. Patrice was previously the head of Corpcapital Bank’s hedge fund operation, where he managed the group’s hedge fund from January 2001 to May 2003.  Prior to this Patrice was employed by Peregrine Capital as a director and fund manager, a position he held from mid-1998 until December 2000.  

After completing his accounting articles, Patrice joined Mercantile Bank in 1995 and attained the position of senior manager of finance and administration, Retail Banking.  Two years later he joined Liberty Asset Management (LIBAM) as a research analyst and assistant fund manager, until mid-1998.

Paul Sundelson

Paul has 18 years of investment experience.  He joined Visio Capital in November 2003.

Paul served as a portfolio manager at HSBC during 1998 and 1999. Investec Securities purchased the HSBC division in 1999 upon which Paul attained the position of corporate broking and portfolio manager. He was involved in many corporate transactions with listed clients while at Investec.

Kerris Foster

Kerris joined Visio Capital in September 2005. Prior to this he was employed as a research analyst covering non-mining resources and international oil sectors.  

His career in investments began in 2000 when he left industry to join Cazenove. Kerris was ranked amongst the top five for the steel, oil and chemicals, and paper sectors in the Financial Mail analyst rankings survey.

In 1990, Kerris joined Shell and BP as a Process Engineer.  Five years later he moved to American International Group where he was responsible for the provision of underwriting and financial services to the oil and chemicals industries. 

Douglas Wallace

Douglas joined Visio Capital in June 2006.  Prior to this, he was involved in various corporate finance roles where he developed a passion for equity capital markets.

Douglas joined KPMG in 1996 where he qualified as a chartered accountant and then spent an additional year as a manager in the firm’s corporate finance division where he was involved in due diligence and valuations.

In June 2000 he joined JP Morgan Cazenove’s corporate finance team where he was involved in numerous M&A and capital markets transactions. In 2001 he transferred to the firm's London office for a year as part of its UK retail and beverages team, returning to the South African team in 2002. In 2003 Douglas attained the CFA designation.

In February 2004, Douglas joined UBS Investment Bank, where he held the position of associate director in the corporate finance division. At UBS, he was involved in numerous South African M&A and capital markets transactions as well as cross border transactions between South Africa and Europe.

Ofri Kahlon

Ofri joined the Visio Capital team in June 2006.

Ofri has a M.M.O.R.S.E qualification from Warwick University UK.  After living in the UK for four years Ofri returned to South Africa in 2005. He was employed at the British International School as an A-level lecturer of physics, mathematics and further mathematics.

Ronald Chabvonga

Ronald founded Gondo Visio in 2008.

Ronald joined the Anglo Platinum corporate finance team in 2006 – a position that he held until moving across to start Gondo Visio.  The three years prior to this he was employed by Standard Bank’s investment banking division. 

After completing his accounting articles in Harare, Ronald moved to Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe (part of Standard Bank Group).  He worked in Financial Services for over eight years, covering treasury operations, financial control and investment banking in both Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Phihlelo Matjekana

Phihlelo joined Gondo Visio in 2010.  The six years prior to this were spent in a research analyst role at Credit Suisse, and later RMB Morgan Stanley.

Phihlelo completed a BCom (majoring in finance, investments and accounting) at the University of the Witwatersrand. In 2009, he attained the CFA designation.

Naeem Badat

Prior to joining Visio in 2012, Naeem was employed as a lead analyst for South African General Financials at Deutsche Bank.

He moved into this role from previously having been employed as a junior sell-side analyst at Investec and Renaissance Capital where he assisted with coverage on the major banks.

Naeem completed a BSc Financial Mathematics at the University of Pretoria in 2004.  In 2009 he opted to further his studies by completing a BCom (Hons), specialising in investment management.  Naeem holds both the CFA and CAIA designations. 

Mark Wadley

Before joining Visio Capital in January 2014, Mark spent six years as an equity analyst at Credit Suisse covering the EMEA healthcare sector.   

Prior to this Mark was based in the United Kingdom. He completed his MBA at Cambridge University, and moved on to work for Netcare UK in a business development role.

Mark studied medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand.  Post qualifying in 1998, he moved to the UK where he spent a number of years working in the National Health Service.

Tassin Meyer

Tassin joined Visio Capital in May 2014. Prior to this, Tassin spent four years at Citigroup as a highly ranked senior analyst covering local and international paper, energy and chemical companies.

Tassin began her career at Merrill Lynch in 2004 as a junior sell-side analyst, after completing a B.Bus.Sci (Hons) degree at the University of Cape Town.  During her five years at Merryl Lynch she covered South African Basic Industries, with high rankings both locally and internationally.

Kathryn Robinson

Kathryn joined the team in January of 2015 after spending six years as a sell-side equity analyst. Kathryn attained the CFA designation in 2014.  

After completing her BCom (Hons) degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, Kathryn joined the Citi Group graduate program in 2008. She was employed by Afrifocus Securities in 2009 to cover the retail sector.  In 2012, she joined Investec Securities to fulfil a similar role

Sindiso Mujaji

Prior to joining Gondo Visio in 2015, Sindiso was involved in the execution of private equity transactions in a number of countries across the African continent.

He joined Phatisa Fund Managers, a pan African private equity fund management firm, as an analyst in 2011. During his time there he rose to the position of Deal Principal. 

Sindiso spent 2008 to 2010 employed as an analyst at Liquid Africa, a corporate finance and advisory services boutique. During his time at Liquid Africa, Sindiso worked on various advisory mandates across multiple sectors and was involved in facilitating transactions on a pan African basis.

Sindiso holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Hons) from the University of Cape Town and is a CFA Charterholder.

Lebo Galeboe joined the team in February 2008. Lebo started her career as a receptionist at Virgin Active in 2003.  She later moved into office administration when joining Entelect Solutions where she fulfilled the role of office administrator and personal assistant to company’s executive team.  She later moved to Batsomi Group into a role of personal assistant to the company secretary.

Maud joined the team in September 2009.  Maud started her career with First National Bank as an investment administrator, and later moved to Rand Merchant Bank as an administrator in the FICC Division. In 2008 she joined Stanlib as a money market and unit trust administrator.

Craig French

Craig joined Visio Capital in April 2012. His responsibilities include product development and the management of client relationships. 

Prior to joining the team, Craig worked at Alvine Capital (London) for five years. He fulfilled the role of portfolio manager and analyst investing in hedge funds, both globally and across investment strategies. He was also responsible for managing fund of fund portfolios and reporting to investment committees. At the time he advised European institutions at CEO and CIO level on fund allocations at a global level.

Before he moved into asset management, Craig spent eight years consulting in the USA, UK and South Africa in both the healthcare sector (at ESPH) and commodity sector (at Integer Research) on strategy and business development.

Althea Modisele

Althea joined Visio Capital in October 2013.  Prior to joining, Althea was at Credit Suisse for two years where she was Head of Trade Support and Middle Office.  She held a similar role at Investec in the six years before that.

Althea began her career at SARS where she spent six years in Internal Audit, followed by three years at Standard Bank in Administration. In 2000, Althea moved to Corpcapital where she worked in middle office, following which she joined Cazenove (later taken over by JP Morgan) in a middle office / trade support role. 

Ulrike Engling

Ulrike joined Visio Capital as CFO in January 2015.  Before joining, she was employed at African Alliance (an investment banking group operating in Africa) as the Private Equity CFO.

Ulrike qualified as a chartered accountant in 1997 and completed her articles at Deloitte in Pretoria and Bern, Switzerland. She returned to South Africa in April 2000 and joined Brait SA as a fund accountant.  In this role she gained vast experience in private equity operations, portfolio management, strategic funding options, investments, the implementation of a private equity IT system and fund structuring.

Sumaya Ncala

In January 2015, Sumaya joined the team as an operations analyst and trader for the Africa funds.  Before moving to Visio, she had been an equity sales trader at Credit Suisse, a position that she held for four years.

Sumaya joined the JPMorgan Chase Johannesburg Graduate Program in 2008 after completing her Bachelor of Business Science in Economics (Hons) from the University of KwaZulu Natal. She spent three years in equities sales trading at JPMorgan Chase.

Hendricka Buys

Hendricka joined Visio Capital in July 2015 as part of the fund administration team. Prior to joining Visio Capital, Hendricka was head of trade support / middle office and settlements at Investec Securities. During her time at Investec, she was also involved in Africa sub-Saharan settlements. 

Hendricka began her career in 1990 at Nedbank as a money market and bonds settlements administrator, and later moved into the role of equities settlements specialist at ABSA Capital. In 1996, Hendricka joined BJM stock brokers as an equities administrator and later as Manager of the International Settlements Division. She then moved to Nedbank’s foreign exchange / interbank settlements.
